Terrance “Terry” McGill is a retired oil and gas executive residing in Sugar Land, TX. He retired from Enbridge Energy in 2015. He has served on the boards of Fermaca Pipeline, Enview Software, Enbridge Energy partners and Midcoast Energy.
He formerly was President Columbia Gulf Pipeline Co. from 1997 – 2001 and before that spent 17 yrs. with Northern Natural Gas, Enron and its affiliates. He has experience in M&A, pipeline development and operations.
He holds a Finance degree from University of Houston.
He has been an active member of a variety of organizations within the gas and oil industry and has been a proud Red Cross volunteer for 28 yrs.
Elizabeth Bázan Hawkins is a highly accomplished legal executive with a distinguished career spanning corporate governance, municipal law, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory roles. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Coastal Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she applies her leadership and legal expertise to support the organization’s mission of disaster relief and humanitarian service. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has held prominent positions, including Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for multinational corporations, as well as First Assistant City Attorney for the City of Houston. She has managed complex legal operations, transformed a 200-person municipal legal department, and led high-stakes initiatives involving mergers and acquisitions, contracts, litigation, compliance, and regulatory affairs. A proven leader, she excels in providing clear, strategic counsel to diverse teams and stakeholders, enabling organizations to navigate challenges effectively.
Elizabeth is deeply committed to public service and community engagement. Her leadership extends beyond her professional roles to include service as a past president and advisory committee member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and on the Advisory Committee for Medical Bridges of Houston. With a Juris Doctorate and an LL.M. in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources from the University of Houston, she combines her legal acumen with a passion for advancing equity and innovation. As a Red Cross board member, Elizabeth leverages her expertise to enhance operational efficiency, foster partnerships, and support initiatives that strengthen community resilience. Her dedication to excellence and collaboration makes her an invaluable asset to the Red Cross and the broader community.
Jona Sargent is a retired insurance professional with 36 years of successful claim experience. As a leader in a Special Investigation operation, she led teams of personnel located in Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas in the resolution of auto and/ or fire property, injury, commercial, or other business claims with fraud indictors. She oversaw all phases of litigations throughout the discovery processes and trials. Jona also served as a liaison to the public, governmental entities, and law enforcements agencies on claim related issues.
Jona holds a Maters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix-Houston, Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston.
As an active member of community organizations, she currently serves on the board of directors for Worklife Houston, the Houston Texans YMCA Advisory Board, and the American Red Cross Coastal Plains Chapter. Jona also serves as a Harris County Civil Court Appointed Special Commissioner on condemnation cases.
Niles Dillard is the President and CEO of Superior Video Productions, Inc., an award-winning company he founded in 1996. Based in Houston, he has built a reputation for delivering exceptional marketing and event films, cinematography, photography, scriptwriting, and post-production services. As a native Houstonian and industry trailblazer, Niles has collaborated with major organizations such as the NFL, NCAA, and various nonprofits, showcasing his expertise in production management.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Niles is a passionate consultant and avid volunteer, dedicating time to mentor new business owners and support local schools. He proudly served as the Past Board Chair of the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce and is a lifetime member of both the Prairie View A&M Alumni Association and the Greater Houston Black Chamber. Niles holds a BBA in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University and has received multiple accolades like the Pinnacle Award and Telly Award.
In addition to his professional and community efforts, Niles actively contributes to organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Ray Anthony Peacock Foundation. As a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., he embodies a commitment to leadership and service, making a significant impact in both his industry and the wider community.
Greetings, my name is Eddie Gradney. I began my Nursing career in the Medical Center at The Texas Heart Institute in 1986. I retired from a leadership position in administration at St. Luke’s Hospital in 2011 and began practicing full-time as a nurse practitioner in 2012. I earned my Doctorate in Advance Nursing Practice in 2021 and I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau the Honor Society of Nursing. I taught at the University of St. Thomas School of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor for 9 years. I serve as a Legislative Ambassador for the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association and I am a founding and past board member of one of the largest Nursing Organizations in Fort Bend County. I am an undergraduate alumnus of Texas Woman's University and a Doctoral postgraduate of The University of Texas at Arlington. I also own a small independently funded healthcare company.
My first experience with disaster response was when I spent 3 straight days in the Medical Center during Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. As a volunteer, I joined the Recross in 2020 shortly after Hurricane Harvey, serving as a Shelter Coordinator and Disaster Health Services. I have been honored to serve as a Board member for the Coastal Plains Chapter of the Red Cross since 2021, I enjoy serving the community. I am also a member of the ARC of Texas and a tireless advocate for the Intellectual Disability Community.
I am a proud mom of four amazing adult children and I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 40 years. I am a lifelong resident of Houston and I am very proud to call the great state of Texas my home.
Terry is a resident of Sugar Land, Tx. Fort Bend County ever since 1990. He and his wife Nancy are active members of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. They have four graduate degree daughters from various Texas Universities and 6 grandchildren.
Terry has recently retired from a 38-year career in Science and Technology Sales and Support functions for both IBM and HP managing revenue sales efforts individually and for account teams across Houston and Dallas and the US.
Terry holds a B.S in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Alabama.
From the age of 13 Terry is/was a HAM Radio Operator that evolved thru community volunteer roles in Tuscaloosa Alabama Emergency Management at age 19 all the way to today with Fort Bend County Texas Emergency Management Office and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
As a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church missions team, he led teams of 50+ people to Honduras for the Central American mission work for many years. He has also been a "driller" for Living Water International in Stafford Texas in Honduras and Nicaragua. Through these and other community-based efforts Terry has spent a lot of time giving back to others around him and the community.
His retirement days will continue those endeavors and more.
He is honored to represent the Coastal Plans Chapter of American Red Cross that spans the west side of Greater Houston from Waller County, Montgomery County, Fort Bend County and southwards to Galveston County.
Sandy joined the Houston Area Red Cross Coastal Plain Board where she has served since 2022. She was invited to join the Tiffany Circle, a Red Cross Women’s Leadership group after being a consistent annual donor. Sandy was Co-Chair of the Biomed committee which helped set up Blood drives in the Houston Area. She was the Waller County Community Volunteer Leader. Sandy currently works with the Development committee. In 2023 Sandy won the Clara Barton Award for exemplary service to the Red Cross Coastal Pains Chapter.
After retiring in 2014, Sandy began working as a docent at the Houston Museum of Natural Science giving tours to children, adults and speaking to Museum visitors. Sandy volunteers each summer at Texas A & M Sea Camp in Galveston, a Marine Biology immersion for Middle school to High school kids. Each year she also teaches English immersion in Europe for 2 weeks. Since 2014 Sandy has been involved with the Switch Energy Organization to inform and teach students, adults, and the public about the challenges of moving from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Sandy began her career as a Petroleum Geologist joining Amoco production in 1980. She continued her career in the Oil and Gas Industry with BP, Chevron, and Marathon for 32 years. Her expertise is in worldwide basin analysis where she assessed country Political Risk, Economics and Fiscal Regime as well as likelihood of finding oil and gas.
Robert Young is a versatile and accomplished leader with over 23 years of experience in electric distribution and natural gas operations. In his current role as Director of Electric Distribution Operations and Service Delivery, Robert oversees the reliable delivery of energy to over 2.8 million customers in the Greater Houston region, driving operational excellence, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Robert has a proven track record of success in both electric and natural gas sectors, bringing a unique, integrated perspective to utility operations. He has spearheaded initiatives to modernize electric distribution systems, optimize outage response, and enhance safety and compliance in the management of natural gas infrastructure.
A strategic and people-focused leader, Robert excels at aligning operational goals with organizational priorities while fostering a culture of safety and innovation. His dual expertise in electric and natural gas systems enables him to deliver seamless service across diverse energy platforms, meeting the evolving needs of customers and other stakeholders.

He has been an active member in community organizations for several years. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Coastal Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross, Career and Recovery Resources Inc.
