Volunteers make up more than 90% of our workforce and do an amazing job. We can’t list every volunteer, but we can show you a great example. Willie Cowart retired in January with more than 14 years of service to disaster customers and military families.
Dr. Linda Braddy joined our North Texas Region as the new CEO following a tenure as the president of Dallas College. Linda shares "I am honored to join an organization with such an outstanding reputation for humanitarian efforts around the world."
Liz Clifton of Royse City received the American Red Cross Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action. Liz was able to act quickly and decisively to help save a choking child’s life at the grocery store and showed a level of extraordinary courage.
The Red Cross & PEANUTS® partnered to remind people that it's cool to be kind and help save lives. The NTX Region extends our gratitude and celebrates the thousands of donors who contributed over 45,000 units of blood and our many local blood drive hosts.
Three passionate female Texas Tech Law students from the Panhandle Plains Chapter participated & WON the national Clara Barton International Humanitarian Law competition. This competition exposes growing professionals to the practice & advocation of IHL.
In June, North Texas experienced flooding in Hereford & Amarillo. Over the next two weeks, Perryton and Matador were hit by fatal tornadoes. We are immensely grateful for the hundreds of North Texas volunteers who provided invaluable resources.
The 8th annual American Red Cross Executive Breakfast hosted by our national Disaster Responder member, Neiman Marcus, recognized the incredible regional & national community partners from our Ready365 Giving Circle Program through their generous gifts.
Over 300 Red Cross disaster workers & volunteers deployed to Maui in response to the tragic wildfires to bring hope; several volunteers came from Texas. “It’s very empowering to know that work is happening,” said Doyle Rader, North Texas Red Crosser.

After student presentations during a nonprofit fair highlighting charitable organizations in DFW, seniors at New Tech High @ Coppell voted to sponsor the American Red Cross. We are honored they chose us!
Red Cross installed its 50,000 smoke alarm in North Texas. We celebrated by kicking off this year's Sound the Alarm events in Dallas, Tyler and Wichita Falls. More than 1,500 homes were made safer because of our dedicated volunteers and donors.
Thanks to generous donors like Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian-style steakhouse headquartered in North Texas, our local Service to the Armed Forces program provided over 13,000 services to military members, veterans and families in the last year.
