Daniela Larsen, a member of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Board of Directors since 2021, starting volunteering as a Red Cross Disaster Action Team member at the age of 17. She deployed to assist in disaster relief efforts in Missouri following significant flooding. For several years, Daniela also served as a first aid instructor for the Greater Salt Lake Chapter. Recently, she retrained in disaster response, to assist those in Maui impacted by severe wildfires.
As a certified National Geographic Educator, Daniela specializes in digital media and cultural diplomacy. Her work includes leading educational expeditions across the globe, initiating conservation projects in Utah, developing online science programs for schools and fostering opportunities for local governments to participate in conservation education.
Daniela is the Executive Director at the Hutchings Museum Institute in Lehi. Beyond her responsibilities with the Red Cross, she serves on the Utah Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, the Jordan River Commission Governing Board and the Utah Global Diplomacy Board of Directors. Daniela has an Associate degree in Science from LDS Business College, now Ensign College, and a Post Graduate Conservation/Archeology/Anthropology Certificate from Trinity College at the University of Oxford.
