Joseph Bart Venâncio Arrington joined the Greater Salt Lake Chapter Board of Directors in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Inspired by his mother’s example as a long-time Red Cross blood donor, Joseph has dedicated his service to advancing the Red Cross mission. During his tenure, he served as Chair of the Mission Committee for three years, where he played a key role in fostering relationships with Utah organizations, organizing blood drives and ensuring resources reached underserved communities across the state. He also served as a board member for three years and is now in his second year as a student board member.

Outside of his Red Cross service, Joseph is a medical and healthcare professional. He is the founder of a biotech startup focused on a patented medical device he co-invented. His extensive education and training include a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah an MBA from Westminster University and advanced research training through a Doctor of Business Administration program at Drexel University.

Currently, Joseph is pursuing dual degrees as a physician-scientist candidate at the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, working toward a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a PhD. His experiences with the Red Cross have been a driving force behind his commitment to serving Utah’s rural communities as a future physician.

Jeffery Bray joined the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Chapter Board of Directors in 2024 and currently serves as the Biomed Committee Chair. In this role, he is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of blood donations and encouraging businesses, community groups, church organizations, and other groups to host Red Cross blood drives, helping to save lives and strengthen the community.

In addition to his work with the Red Cross, Jeffery volunteers with other organizations that make a meaningful impact. He is involved with Needs Beyond Medicine, which supports cancer patients by covering non-medical expenses and providing educational outreach on cancer signs and symptoms. He also works with the Gift of Adoption Fund, which provides grants to finalize adoptions for children in vulnerable circumstances, giving them permanent families and the opportunity to thrive.

Professionally, Jeffery is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vibrix Pharmacy, a mail-order pharmacy focused on simplifying medication management, particularly for seniors and Medicare patients.

Jeffery holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a Master in Education from the University of Phoenix. He also has certifications in healthcare compliance, board governance and human resources leadership. Additionally, he earned a bachelor’s degree in History and French Literature from the University of Arizona.

Shannon Eaker joined the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Chapter in December 2024 and serves on the chapter’s Philanthropy Committee. Motivated by a deep commitment to helping others, Shannon is dedicated to strengthening community connections and supporting individuals in times of need.

As the owner of Shannon Eaker & Associates, she has built her career around protecting what matters most—families, homes and businesses. Prior to founding her firm, Shannon spent more than a decade in leadership roles at Sinclair Broadcast Group, including serving as Director of Sales for KUTV/KMYU/KJZZ, where she led high-performing teams, built strategic partnerships and consistently exceeded revenue goals. Her background in communications and relationship-building supports her belief in compassionate service and the power of human connection.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Syracuse University. She is proud to support the Red Cross mission and to help ensure that individuals and families throughout the Greater Salt Lake community receive care, comfort and hope when they need it most.

In 2024, Tami Fisher, a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross, was appointed to the Board of Directors for the organization's Greater Salt Lake Chapter. She was also appointed to the Biomed Committee, where she will advocate and inspire community members to donate blood and community groups and business leaders to host blood drives. Tami champions the American Red Cross mission to enrich communities with a diverse array of essential services.

Professionally, Tami has been a part of Zions Bancorporation for almost two decades. During her tenure, she has held various roles, now serving as the Senior Vice President and Director of Technology, Strategy and Governance. She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Westminster University, located in Salt Lake City.

Liz Frome is deeply committed to the mission of the American Red Cross, finding joy in supporting its lifesaving work. She joined the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Utah Greater Salt Lake Chapter in 2020 and served as Board Chair from 2022 to 2023. Liz remains actively involved through her role on the Biomedical Committee, where she collaborates with Red Cross staff and volunteers to make a meaningful impact in her community.

Outside of her work with the Red Cross, Liz is the founder and Chief Strategist of Sobriquet, a Utah-based marketing consultancy specializing in marketing strategy, brand messaging, and client experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Utah.

Steve Jensen joined the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Utah Greater Salt Lake Chapter in 2025. He was inspired to get involved by the Red Cross’s longstanding tradition of educating communities on safety and emergency preparedness. With training in emergency management, Steve is eager to apply his knowledge and experience to his volunteer work with the organization.

Professionally, Steve has been the Emergency Dispatch Supervisor at Enbridge Gas since 2019, where he manages employees and serves as a liaison with 911 dispatch centers and fire departments. Before stepping into his supervisory role, he spent nine years as a Lead Operations Specialist in the Salt Lake City Operations Department. During that time, he specialized in employee training and mentoring, project management, and emergency response.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Utah Valley University.

Jennifer Leary joined the board in 2021 and has enjoyed serving as a blood donor and member of the Philanthropy Committee. She is passionate about the mission of the American Red Cross and is looking forward to getting more involved.

Jennifer is a Community Health Director at Intermountain Healthcare. She has more than 12 years of healthcare leadership experience including roles in community health, behavioral health, practice management, palliative care, virtual health and healthcare strategy.

Dave Loach has been a board member since July 2017 and received a Volunteer Leadership Award from American Red Cross in 2020. He has previously served as Vice Chair, Chair and a member of the Outreach Committee. His most rewarding experiences have been engaging with volunteers and donors at blood drives and events.

Dave left England in 2004 to join IC Group, a Utah based printing and technology company and currently serves as the company’s President.

Robert “Pimmie” Lopez joined the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Chapter Board of Directors in 2025 and serves as a member of the Community Mobilization Committee. In this role, he works to empower communities to become self-sufficient and ensure that vulnerable populations receive the aid they need by working with local leaders, community groups, church organizations, elected officials and other nonprofits.

The American Red Cross holds a deeply personal significance for Pimmie. As a child, he witnessed the organization provide critical support to the family of a close friend who lost their home in a late-night fire. This experience left a lasting impression, and over time, his understanding and appreciation for the Red Cross’s humanitarian mission grew, eventually inspiring him to become a volunteer.

Professionally, Pimmie is a healthcare executive specializing in medical group operations. He is the President and Founder of Healthcare Colleagues, where he leads efforts to improve healthcare delivery and operations.

Pimmie earned his undergraduate degree from Cal Poly State University and an MBA from Brigham Young University. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
