Northern Utah & SW Wyoming Chapter Board of Directors
The Board of Directors with their combined diverse experiences are critical to assisting with strategic planning and fundraising to support the Chapters' humanitarian mission and services.
Morgan Begin
Morgan Begin joined the American Red Cross American Red Cross of Northern Utah and Southwest Wyoming Board of Directors in 2022 transitioning from her Red Cross staff position as the Regional Preparedness Manager. In her previous role, she championed programs that ensured vulnerable communities have access to disaster preparedness education across Utah and Nevada. Morgan was named Board Chair in 2023 and is a member of the Board’s Executive Committee.
Beyond her work with the Red Cross, Morgan has been involved in several other notable initiatives. She has served on the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Coordinating Council, the Davis County Caregiver Advisory Council and the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee.
Currently, she is the Program Director for DayBreak Senior Services, managing day-to-day operations to ensure seniors in our community have access to quality and affordable care. Morgan holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University.

Betsy Mennell
Betsy Mennell joined the American Red Cross of Northern Utah Southwest Wyoming Board of Directors in 2020 and currently chairs the Board's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Her Red Cross journey began in Austin, TX, in the late 1990s, where she served on Disaster Action Teams and Shelter Operations. Later, she was a Board Member for the Red Cross chapter in Flagstaff, AZ, and volunteered with the disaster team. Betsy is an active blood donor at Weber State University blood drives and volunteers as a Blood Donor Ambassador.
Professionally, Betsy is the Vice President for University Advancement at Weber State University, overseeing Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, Development, Government Relations, Marketing and Communications and University Events. In addition to her role at the Red Cross, Betsy is a member of the Garff Foundation's Women Who Succeed. She holds a doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in Human Services from St. Edward’s University in Texas, and a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Political Science from Saint Mary's College in Indiana.
