FAIRFAX, VA – March 16, 2018 – The American Red Cross in the National Capital Region and Dulles Golf Center and Sports Park are hosting a community fundraiser on April 14th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm to support ongoing disaster relief efforts for the fall 2017 hurricanes.
Dulles Golf Center and Sports Park is providing a special, discounted rate that will provide attendees with unlimited access to all Park facilities, with 100% of the admission fee going to the American Red Cross.
In what is normally an $80 fee for limited access for a family of four ticket package, attendees will have unlimited use of miniature golf, batting cages, golf range, beach volleyball courts, basketball courts and picnic areas for $60. A single ticket will be $20. Also included will be the use of a rock wall and moonbounce.
Additionally, Ford’s Fish Shack will provide guests with popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones, and musical entertainment will be provided by The Bobbe Shore Trio.
“We held a successful percent of sale fundraiser for the American Red Cross in September and October of 2017 to support disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Maria by making a direct donation. We thought that this time we should engage the community to support Red Cross disaster relief efforts,” said Dulles Golf Center and Sports Park president Robert Reiver.
Erwin Stierle, executive director for the American Red Cross serving Loudoun and Prince William Counties commented, “We’re so grateful for the generosity Bob and his team have shown us this fall and for opening up their facility this spring to us and allowing 100% of the admission fee to go towards our disaster relief efforts. The community has a wonderful opportunity to come out on April 14th and make a donation that can make a lifesaving difference while having a great time!”
