Traci Mitchell serves as the Executive Director of the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross South Florida Region, leading efforts to advance the organization's humanitarian mission across Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties.
A transformational leader with more than 40 years of experience driving organizational success, community impact, and strategic growth, Traci has built a career centered on empowering individuals, strengthening organizations, and creating meaningful change. Her expertise spans organizational leadership, strategic planning, change management, marketing, communications, program and project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Traci joined PNC Bank in 2008 as Vice President of Brand Management and progressed through several leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales and Client Experience, where she led organizational change management initiatives that delivered sustainable, transformative results. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the PNC Fairfax Connection, a community resource center in Cleveland's Fairfax neighborhood dedicated to empowering individuals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and small business owners through free services, resources, and support. Throughout her career, she has successfully led complex initiatives, developed impactful marketing and communications strategies, managed large-scale events, and fostered collaborations that create lasting value for communities and organizations alike.
Her commitment to service extends far beyond her professional responsibilities. Traci has dedicated significant volunteer leadership to youth-focused organizations, including Shoes and Clothes for Kids and DanceCleveland, and has supported youth ministries through her church. Prior to relocating to Florida, she served two-and-a-half terms on her local school board, reflecting her longstanding dedication to education, civic engagement, and community development.
As Executive Director of the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Chapter, Traci leads a dedicated team of staff and volunteers while working alongside community stakeholders, donors, partners, and board members to strengthen community resilience and expand the reach of Red Cross programs and services. She understands the importance of collaboration and is committed to ensuring that individuals and families have access to the resources they need to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters.
Traci earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from The Ohio State University. An avid Buckeyes fan and newly minted Hurricanes fan, she enjoys traveling, reading, fishing, and crafting. Above all, she is deeply passionate about equipping others with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.
