The American Red Cross Greater Miami and the Keys Chapter welcomes Wadith Martinez as its new Disaster Program Manager. In this role, Martinez will oversee the successful implementation of the volunteer-led Disaster Cycle Services program throughout the chapter. He will work hand-in-hand with volunteers and key emergency management officials.
The Disaster Cycle Services team (DCS) aims to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and our surrounding communities. From a home fire to a multi-state natural disaster, the Red Cross goes wherever needed so people can have clean water, meals, and a safe place to stay when needed. After a response has been completed, they help people recover and address lingering community needs. Working with community leaders, government, and relief agencies, they organize and execute recovery strategies.
Martinez comes to the organization as a dedicated professional with a passion for making a positive impact in the community. With a wealth of experience in various domains such as program management, disaster relief coordination, leadership and supervision and bilingual proficiency, he brings a unique blend of skills and expertise to the table. In his career, he has collaborated with the South Dade Permanent Supportive Housing Program at Camillus House, Centro Campesino and more.
