New York, NY – The American Red Cross in Greater New York is proud to announce the addition of three new members to its regional Board of Directors: Surya Kant, President of North America, UK, and Europe for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS); Matthew Sniffen, Vice President, Emergency Preparedness for Con Edison; and Matt Barr, Co-Chair of the Business Finance & Restructuring Department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

Surya (Sury) Kant is the President of North America, UK and Europe for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). As President for North America, UK and Europe, Sury is responsible for the continued growth of the company’s global revenues, key customer relationships and technology offerings across TCS’ largest markets. His longstanding tenure at TCS includes establishing the presence of the Indian software industry in Japan in 1987, leading UK operations in the ‘90s while recording substantial growth and visibility for the organization and serving as the Head of Operations in North India until 2005.
Matthew Sniffen is Vice President, Emergency Preparedness for Con Edison. He oversees the corporate planning and execution of all storm-response and emergency action plans for both Con Edison, serving the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County, as well as Orange and Rockland Utilities, serving a 1,300-square-mile-area in southeastern New York State and northern New Jersey.
Matt Barr is Co-Chair of the Business Finance & Restructuring Department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Mr. Barr has extensive experience leading representations of debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, bondholders, ad hoc groups, private equity funds, acquirers of assets, hedge funds and other institutions acquiring controlling positions in financially distressed companies, and other major stakeholders in chapter 11 reorganization cases and out-of-court restructurings both in the United States and internationally.
