[NEW YORK – SEPTEMBER 19, 2024] The American Red Cross in Greater New York is proud to announce Ming Chiang, founder of Biacomm, Inc. and Casual Home Worldwide, has joined the Greater New York Region Board of Directors.
“We are delighted to welcome Ming to our Board of Directors in Greater New York,” said Doreen Thomann-Howe, LCSW, CEO, American Red Cross in Greater New York. “With his incredible track record of success as a businessman and entrepreneur, and his long-standing commitment to the Red Cross, his addition to our regional board will be a wonderful asset to support the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross.”

ABOUT MING CHIANG
Ming Chiang is the President and Founder of Biacomm Inc., manufacturer of solar powered mobile utility equipment. He has been the President of Yu Shan Company, the most senior Taiwanese member of the International Housewares Association, since 2005. He is the President and founder of Casual Home Worldwide, a manufacturer of luggage, furniture and consumer products.
Since 2012, Ming has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross on Long Island. He also serves on the American Red Cross National Philanthropic Board. He is the Founder and President of Hello Taiwan, Ltd. 501(c)3, a non-profit organization to promote Taiwan. In 2020, he joined the board of the Long Island Association, a 100-year-old trade association. Ming is proud to be its first and only Taiwanese-American board member. He also is on the board of the Queens Museum, America’s VetDogs, and the Taiwanese American Art Council, and serves in advisory position for the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Molloy College, and the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless.
Ming graduated from Polytechnic University of New York in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He completed the Energeia Partnership program in 2018. Ming lives on Long Island with his family.
