AMERICAN FORK, Utah (May 2, 2026) — Utah-based Altabank is partnering with the American Red Cross of Utah to host four blood drives across the state on Tuesday, May 5. The drives will be held at Altabank branches in North Logan, Pleasant Grove, Riverton and St. George and are open to bank staff, customers and community members.
The Altabank blood drives come as the Red Cross prepares for the seasonal challenges that often affect blood donation in the months ahead. Spring travel, changing routines and the transition into summer can all make it harder to maintain a stable blood supply.
“We are grateful to Altabank for opening its branches to help support blood donation across Utah,” said Benjamin Donner, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “Altabank has been a supportive Red Cross partner in Utah, bringing its employees and the community together around blood donation.”
Altabank Blood Drive Schedule
All drives will be held on Tuesday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the following Altabank locations:
How to Donate
Donors can make an appointment through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting redcross.org/GiveBlood or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Use sponsor code Altabank to book an appointment at one of the Altabank locations. Those who come to give May 1-17 will receive a $20 Amazon gift card by email. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/Amazon for details.
A Longtime Commitment to Giving Blood
The drives are being led by Altabank Community Reinvestment Act Coordinator Bob Wright, who has donated blood regularly for more than 40 years. Since his first donation in 1982, Wright has given blood four times a year and is nearing 20 gallons donated.
“These blood drives are one way our bank supports the communities we serve,” Wright said. “We want to make it easy for our employees, customers and neighbors to take part and help where they can.”
Become a Blood Drive Host
The Red Cross of Utah also works with businesses, schools, churches and community groups interested in hosting blood drives. The Red Cross provides planning support, recruitment tools, equipment, materials and trained staff to help make each drive successful. More information is available at redcrossblood.org/host-a-drive.
