ST. GEORGE, Utah (Nov. 6, 2025) — Dixie Power has once again demonstrated its commitment to community service by hosting one of Utah’s largest blood drives of 2025. Over the course of three days last week, the event collected 557 units of blood, making it the most successful American Red Cross blood drive in the state this year and one of the most impactful in the past decade.
“Dixie Power’s dedication to the Cooperative Principle, ‘Concern for Community,’ is evident in our ongoing support of lifesaving initiatives like this,” said Steven Young, Dixie Power Communications Specialist. “We’re proud to partner with the Red Cross of Utah to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.”
Since 2019, Dixie Power has hosted annual blood drives, growing from a single-day event to a three-day effort in 2022. These drives have collectively resulted in over 2,000 units of blood donated, helping to save countless lives.

Dixie Power’s blood drives have grown steadily in size and impact over the years:

Why Blood Donations Matter
As the holiday season approaches, the need for blood donations becomes even more critical. Seasonal travel and celebrations often lead to a decline in donations, while emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents increase demand. Donating blood is quick, easy and can save lives.
