PRICE, Utah (Aug. 28, 2025) — The American Red Cross of Utah team is on the ground in Price today, helping residents affected by flash flooding that occurred Wednesday. Heavy rain led to flooding that inundated parts of the town, forcing some residents from their homes.
Trained Red Cross disaster volunteers are driving through hard-hit neighborhoods in an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV), distributing cleanup kits to help residents with their recovery efforts. These kits contain essential supplies such as mops, brooms, buckets, bleach and other cleaning materials to help in the difficult task of clearing mud and water from their homes. The team is also assessing the community’s needs to determine what additional support may be required.
“Flooding like this can turn lives upside down in an instant,” said Benjamin Donner, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “We are here to support the community during this challenging time and will continue to work alongside our local partners to ensure residents have the resources they need to recover.”
The Red Cross will remain in the area to provide ongoing assistance as the community continues its recovery. All Red Cross services are provided free of charge. Residents who have been impacted by the flooding and need assistance can contact the Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or redcross.org.
