SALT LAKE CITY (Sept. 9, 2025) — Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) will launch a week-long series of blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross of Utah, beginning Monday, Sept. 15, 2025. Each day, a different SLCC campus will welcome students, faculty, staff and community members to donate blood and make a lifesaving difference.
The campus blood drives highlights SLCC’s commitment to community service and provides a vital opportunity for Utahns to contribute to the health and well-being of others. With the demand for blood donations remaining constant, these drives help ensure hospitals have the blood necessary to save lives.
“We are thrilled to team up with Salt Lake Community College to bring awareness about the need for blood donation to the campuses,” said Jeremiah Lafranca, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Chapter. “SLCC’s commitment to hosting these blood drives across multiple campuses shows their dedication to supporting community health.”
