SALT LAKE CITY (Dec. 21, 2025) — This holiday season, the American Red Cross of Utah and Wendy’s are teaming up to support lifesaving efforts through the Wendy’s Combo for a Cause Blood Drives. Donors who give blood during one of five upcoming drives will receive a coupon for a free Wendy’s combo meal.
The Red Cross of Utah bloodmobile will be at a different Wendy’s restaurant in Herriman, South Jordan and West Jordan during the five days of Wendy’s Combo for a Cause Blood Drives. These drives come at a critical time during the final 10 days of the year, when blood donations often decline due to holiday travel and celebrations. Despite this seasonal drop, the need for blood remains constant, with hospitals relying on donations to treat accident victims, cancer patients and others facing life-threatening diseases.
“The holidays are a busy time, but they’re also an opportunity to unite as a community and support those in need,” said Benjamin Donner, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “Support from partners like Wendy’s ensures that blood is available to help patients in need.”
Wendy’s Combo for a Cause Blood Drives
Give hope during the holidays by scheduling a blood or platelet donation appointment. Appointments can be made through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting redcross.org/GiveBlood or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Use sponsor code Wendys to book an appointment for these drives or find another convenient blood drive near you.

The blood drives are sponsored by The Flynn Group, which operates more than 2,600 restaurants and health clubs globally, including 50 Wendy’s locations in Utah.

Blood Donors Rewarded
Donors who give between Dec. 19, 2025, and Jan. 4, 2026, will receive an exclusive Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last. See RedCrossBlood.org/Gifts for details.
