Red Cross Responds to Treacherous Heat Wave Out West
As many as 140 trained Red Cross disaster workers are responding, some virtually, to operate and support shelters and cooling centers so far in Washington, California and Oregon. The Red Cross is working with state, local and tribal officials to determine what other help is needed.
Challenge yourself to 50 miles this fall to raise funds for people affected by disasters like storms, floods, and countless other crises. Throughout the Challenge, participants will receive messages of encouragement and fundraising tips via our supportive Facebook group.
Registration opens September 10th. Challenge starts October 1st and concludes November 5th.
