Program Overview:
The Summer Youth Program is a unique program that allows teens exposure to the workplace, experience in a medical setting, and the opportunity to give back to the military community by volunteering their time during the summer within Madigan Army Medical Center. If selected, participants will be placed in participating departments/clinics within Madigan Army Medical Center and will help fulfill volunteer roles. This is not a job shadowing or internship program.
The Summer Youth Program will begin July 7th, 2025, and will conclude on July 31st, 2025, with a Youth Volunteer Recognition Ceremony. Participants will volunteer a minimum of 8 hours a week and a maximum of 40 a week with the assigned department/clinic for a minimum of 3 weeks out of the 4 week program. It is important to remember that spaces are limited and are based on the number of volunteers requested by hospital personnel; therefore, all applications must be completed and submitted by June 6th, 2025. (Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.)
