SEATTLE/TACOMA, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 — Western Washington Papa Johns and the American Red Cross have joined together to spice up summer with a delicious thank you to local blood donors. All who come to give blood, platelets or plasma in July and August will receive a coupon for a free large, 2-topping pizza courtesy of Papa Johns! This offer is available to donors throughout King, Snohomish, Pierce and Thurston counties at participating locations, and is a reflection of Papa Johns commitment to a stable blood supply in our region and beyond.

The American Red Cross urges all donors to give blood or platelets to keep the blood supply strong this summer. Make July your time to help save lives. Scheduling and keeping donation appointments are crucial this month to ensure blood products are constantly available in the weeks to come for all patients, including those in trauma situations that may require several lifesaving transfusions. 

Type O blood products are most needed on hospital shelves right now – especially in the face of summer challenges that can quickly cause blood and platelet reserves to drop. The partnership with Papa Johns will help the Red Cross meet blood and platelet donations during the summer months when donations decrease, but the need remains constant. Without the support of generous volunteer donors, blood & platelets may not be ready the moment patients need them for lifesaving transfusions. Make the world brighter for patients in need.
