SEATTLE/TACOMA, Tuesday, June 24, 2026 — Western Washington Papa Johns and the American Red Cross have joined together to spice up summer with a delicious thank you to local blood donors. All who come to give blood, platelets or plasma July 1-August 31 will receive a coupon for a free large, 2-topping pizza courtesy of Papa Johns! This offer is available to donors at participating locations in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Island and Skagit counties, and is a reflection of Papa Johns commitment to a stable blood supply in our region and beyond.
The American Red Cross has an urgent need for donors and is counting on people to act now and book a time to give lifesaving blood or platelets. Donors of all blood types are essential in keeping the blood supply strong enough to withstand summer challenges.
The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day brings an increase in severe injuries from car accidents, ATV crashes, sports-related injuries, and other summer activities. A single person injured in a serious car accident can require up to 100 units of blood. The partnership with Papa Johns will help the Red Cross meet blood and platelet donations during the summer months when donations decrease, but the need remains constant.
