LOS ANGELES, December 16, 2025 — The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region is thrilled to announce Jacquelyn Clites as its new Regional Chief Executive Officer, effective December 15, 2025. Jacquelyn’s appointment marks an exciting homecoming to Los Angeles, where she previously served in key leadership roles and built strong community partnerships.
Jacquelyn brings more than a decade of experience with the Red Cross, including leadership positions across multiple regions. Most recently, she served as Regional Executive for the California Gold Country Region, where she spearheaded culture transformation and strategic initiatives that strengthened workforce engagement and donor relationships. Her proven track record of driving innovation and collaboration positions her to lead the Los Angeles Region into a new era of humanitarian impact.
“I’m honored to return to Los Angeles and lead this incredible team,” said Jacquelyn Clites. “This region is vibrant, diverse, and resilient, and I look forward to working alongside our volunteers, staff, and partners to expand our mission and meet the evolving needs of our communities.”
Jacquelyn’s vision focuses on empowering the workforce, deepening community partnerships, and enhancing disaster preparedness and response for the more than 10 million residents served by the Los Angeles Region.
As part of this leadership transition, the Red Cross also celebrates the remarkable career of Joanne Nowlin, who retires after 36 years of dedicated service. Joanne’s leadership and commitment have left an enduring legacy, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved retirement.
