The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region is made up of more than 2,000 youth volunteers. Through one or more of our programs, volunteers fundraise, learn leadership skills and ultimately work to serve the Red Cross mission. We offer further local leadership opportunities through our unique Youth Corps Program. Each year, 40 Youth Corps Executive Officers across our six chapters lead and organize local and regional activities for our region’s youth.
The Youth & Young Adult Services is a multi-faceted program for youth and young adults from 13 to 24 years of age. Youth programs offer many activities and courses that help build character and provide the necessary tools and experiences needed for leadership and service.
New youth volunteers must register online, and for those under the age of 18, consent must be given from their parent or guardian before starting a Red Cross journey.
The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region is divided into five chapters; Northern Valleys, San Gabriel & Pomona Valley, Western Los Angeles, Long Beach & South Bay, and Metro and Southeast LA.
Students can join their local Youth Corps through their school’s Red Cross Club.
