SALT LAKE CITY (Sept 19, 2024) – The Red Cross of Utah is pleased to announce the re-opening of our St. George Blood Donation Center next Tuesday, September 24th, to help meet the need for blood products in Southern Utah. Community members and media are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting and open house at the donation center.
“Many of us are personally connected to someone who has relied on a lifesaving blood or platelet transfusion,” said Benjamin Donner, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “Because of the generosity of our donors, we are able to better serve our local community through blood collection.”
Community leaders, elected officials and Red Cross representatives will attend Tuesday’s re-opening and open house, and the public is welcome. The American Red Cross is a proud member of the St. George Chamber of Commerce and is grateful for their support of our event.
