In October of 2016, Kimberly Coley was named Executive Director of the Pacific Coast and Ventura County Chapters of the American Red Cross. In this position, she leads a talented team of humanitarians who heroically serve the 1.6 million residents who live and work in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.
Kimberly brings over 10 years of management experience to the Red Cross, where she is responsible for strengthening community partnerships, leading volunteers, and increasing the overall impact of the organization locally. She passionately builds personalized relationships with donors, volunteers, businesses and community partners to ensure they are aware of the Red Cross mission by promoting and advancing services, such as disaster relief, health and safety, blood donation, and service to the armed forces.
Prior to the Red Cross, Kimberly served as the Vice President of External Affairs for the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast. She has held a number of leadership positions throughout Santa Barbara County and has worked in the non-profit, public and private sectors. Working with some of the country’s most recognized brands; Coley has established herself as a resourceful leader with a proven track record of building community capacity and implementing organizational change. She expertly and instinctually connects people, events and ideas and is recognized as a trusted partner who values selfless leadership and service.
In her spare time, Kimberly advocates for expanding opportunities to underserved communities through her work as a volunteer, board member and chairwoman of several local non-profits, including the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, the Junior League, Rotary, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and the Leading from Within Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). She is a proud alumna of the University of Tennessee and an avid college football fan- Go Vols!
