When disaster strikes—whether it’s a wildfire, earthquake, or home fire—help can’t wait. Families need shelter, support and a path forward. The American Red Cross is there, responding every day—but we don’t do it alone. It’s through the steady support of partners like California Resources Corporation (CRC) that our work is possible.
As the 20th Anniversary Supporter of this year’s Hometown Heroes Luncheon aboard the Queen Mary, CRC played a key role in making the milestone event a meaningful celebration. With their support—alongside that of many generous partners—we were able to honor everyday individuals who step up in times of crisis and reflect the very heart of the Red Cross mission.
CRC has partnered with the Red Cross since 2015, contributing to a range of disaster preparedness and response efforts throughout Los Angeles. Their support of the Sound the Alarm home fire safety campaign has helped provide families in high-risk communities with free smoke alarms and lifesaving fire prevention education.
“At CRC, we believe in supporting organizations that show up when people need them most,” says Francisco Leon, CEO of CRC and a board member of the Red Cross Long Beach South Bay Chapter. “Our partnership with the Red Cross has only deepened over the years.”
CRC employees regularly volunteer their time and energy to Red Cross efforts, a reflection of the company’s strong, sustained commitment to building safer, more resilient communities.
