Among our 19th Annual Hometown Hero blood donor honorees, Denise Lever started donating blood and platelets in 2017 and continues to donate regularly at the donor center in Long Beach. In 2021 and 2022, Denise donated platelets over 18 times and in 2023, she increased her donations to 12, saving 36 lives. This year so far, Denise has attempted to donate 16 times, twice with success. Her heroic donation efforts have contributed 201 units of platelets and plasma to patients in need.
