The American Red Cross Southern California Region’s Service to the Armed Forces team and Tiffany Circle members teamed up to support military families at a recent baby shower at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, California.

As resplendent as the stained-glass art company after which it was named, the American Red Cross of Southern California Region’s Tiffany Circle members bring grace and beauty to all those they serve. That was particularly true on Friday, April 21, 2023, when local Tiffany Circle members had the incredible, moving opportunity to support a baby shower for 50 military members and their families at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, California.
The Tiffany Circle’s mission statement rang true throughout the event: “The Tiffany Circle is a community of women leaders who advance the American Red Cross mission through a focused investment of time, talent, and treasure by engaging women locally, nationally, and internationally.” Beautifully aligning with this mission statement, Tiffany Circle members Teri Pollitt, Circle BMH Platinum Member and San Diego Board Member; Deepa Gupta, Orange County Board Member, and fellow Orange County Board Member Deepa Rangan participated in the baby shower along with Red Cross staff members Jason Brand, Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Regional Director; Patricia Perez, SAF Regional Manager; Amy Kennedy, Director of Development; Lynzee Halvorson, Regional Philanthropy Officer, and Jana Priest, Regional Philanthropy Officer and Tiffany Circle Liaison. Together, the team distributed gifts to military families and thanked them for their service.
The Red Cross provided health care and grooming kits with essential items such as baby nail clippers, hair scissors, combs, brushes, thermometers and more. Families also received baby rompers, baby t-shirts, diapers and more from local partners. Gifts for all expectant and new parents were received with gratitude and delight. “It was very nice to participate in a Tiffany Circle event that helps young parents in the military,” said Deepa Rangan, a Tiffany Circle member. “These youngsters do so much to keep us all safe and it was nice to give back in a small way.” Tiffany Circle and Orange County Board member Deepa Gupta said, “So proud and grateful to be a part of the American Red Cross and the Tiffany Circle who support our troops and their families during such emotional and happy times.” Heartfelt smiles were joyously shared all around!
