Your American Red Cross in Utah prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, to help neighbors and communities in need—down the street, across the country, and around the world. It is a congressionally chartered organization but receives no line-item government funding. Instead, it relies on the generosity of people like you to carry out its mission. Thank you for your support.
Here are some of the ways the American Red Cross in Utah is working to help you:
Everyone knows the Red Cross helps people during emergencies. But you may not know that it’s also part of our mission to help you help yourself! Becoming “Red Cross Ready” for an emergency means following our simple steps in advance to ensure you can weather a crisis safely and comfortably.
When disaster strikes, the Red Cross is ready to provide a place to sleep, warm meals, clothing, emotional support and hope to those affected.
We could have just the opportunity you’re looking for ... whether it's training to respond to disasters, supporting a blood drive, delivering messages to members of our military, or connecting families displaced by conflict, we hope you'll join our mission.
25% of Red Cross volunteers are age 24 or younger. Being young is no barrier to being able to help people in need, in your community and around the world!
We collect blood every day from donors who help ensure a safe supply of blood when it’s needed.
We offer training in first aid, CPR/AED, swimming and water safety, care giving and more.
We relay urgent messages between U.S. service members and their families through our global communications.
The American Red Cross is launching a nationwide campaign to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries by 25% over the next five years through the Home Fire Preparedness Safety Campaign.
With more than a century of experience, the American Red Cross works with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network to meet the needs of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
As the world’s largest humanitarian network, Red Cross and Red Crescent teams help reconnect families separated by international crises.
