Be Prepared. Get Connected. Take Action.Be Prepared. Get Connected. Take Action.
Prepare San Diego is a regional resiliency initiative to help prepare the San Diego region for human emergencies and disasters. Through Prepare San Diego, the American Red Cross of San Diego/Imperial Counties aims to facilitate a cultural shift to increase individual, community and business preparedness. Join millions across the country who feel safe because they are "Red Cross Ready." They know what to do and how to stay safe in the event of an emergency. Businesses and communities are more resilient when they are better prepared in the first place. Get the peace of mind and take the steps to be prepared!
There are three basic steps everyone can take to make a difference in their lives:
be prepared, get connected, and take action.
You’re more prepared than you think. Know what to do and have what you need in case an emergency strikes.
Ready Rating is a free online program offered by the Red Cross that helps businesses, schools and organizations become prepared for disasters and other emergencies. All in one place, Ready Rating members have access to one-of-a-kind tools, resources and information for evaluating and improving their ability to withstand disaster, maintaining operations, and protecting lives and property. Whether you're taking your first steps or have a fully-functioning emergency management program, the Ready Rating program can help you achieve a higher level of preparedness. Become a part of the Business Leadership Council
The Business Leadership Council is a group of dynamic business leaders who have partnered to create a sustainable network that encourages preparedness, carries out response and recovery, and strives for resilience in the face of disaster. The Business Leadership Council brings together key leadership to help ensure our region's successful long-term recovery and reduce overall economic impact. You can also have expert help along the way as you and your partners become a Red Cross Certified Resilient Business through Ready Rating
Each year, the Red Cross responds to an average of more than 62,000 disasters, the vast majority of which are home fires. So we set a goal to reduce fire-related deaths and injuries in the US by 25% by 2020. On average, seven people die every day from a home fire, most impacting children and the elderly. If you have a fire, smoke alarms can cut nearly in half your risk of dying in a fire. Check your smoke alarm batteries monthly and join us to Sound the Alarm. Save a Life.
