In addition to newly appointed board officers and members, the Bay Area Chapter also has a new CEO, with the appointment of Jennifer Adrio. Beginning work in her new position on July 15, Adrio also serves as CEO for the Red Cross' entire Northern California Coastal Region. (See press release.)
“I am already so impressed by the board leadership of the Bay Area Chapter and by the amazing work that was done in all six of the chapter's counties this past year," Adrio said. "The chapter had more than 2,300 local volunteers who worked almost 130,000 hours; responded to more than 500 local home fires, and to reduce those numbers, installed nearly 5,800 smoke alarms to make families safer; taught lifesaving skills like first aid, CPR, and AED to more than 58,000 residents; and opened more than 2,400 cases in support of members of the armed forces and their families."
Adrio also thanked the board's outgoing members — Abby Abinanti, Elizabeth Keith, Andrew Kelly, JJ Lara, Eva Monroe, Cortes Saunders, Jolinda Sim and Stasha Wyskiel — for their years of service to the board.
