SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. Aug. 21, 2024 — The Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter welcomes their newest elected members to the board.

These new board members bring diverse experiences to this leadership body, including decades of experience in healthcare education and administration and communication and media markets in the Bay Area. The newly elected board members are:

• DeAndre Turner - Kaiser Permanente
• Michelle Woods -  KRON4 CW
   

The following officers will lead the Bay Area Chapter Board during the 2024-2025 fiscal year: 

• Kenzie Ferguson - Chair; Delta Dental of California
• Jeff Block - Co-Vice Chair; Mission Committee Chair
• Patrick Hayes - Co-Vice Chair; The Clorox Company
   

During the past fiscal year, Red Cross board members and volunteers in the Bay Area Chapter responded to 377 local disasters, providing care, comfort, and hope to those affected; installed hundreds of free smoke alarms to make families safer; taught lifesaving skills like first aid, water safety skills, CPR and AED trainings to more than 28,000 residents; collected over 70,661 units of blood, and assisted 787 of members of the armed forces, veterans and their families.
