SANTA ROSA, Calif. Aug. 21, 2024 — The Board of Directors of the American Red Cross North Bay Chapter welcomes their newest elected members to the board.

These new board members bring diverse experiences to this leadership body, including decades of experience in pharmaceutical corporations and insurance protection. The newly elected board members are:
 

• Annie Shaefer - Community Philanthropist
• Jonny Karpuk - First American Title Company of Napa
   

The following officers will lead the North Bay Chapter Board during the 2024-2025 fiscal year: 
 

• Miriam Tcheng, MS, RD - Board Chair; Kaiser Permanente
• Rebecca Taylor-Ford, RN, DNP - Vice Board Chair; Co-Chair, Biomedical Services Committee; Kaiser Permanente
• Catherine Lee - Board Secretary; Chair, Development and Engagement Committee; Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo

During the past fiscal year, Red Cross board members and volunteers in the North Bay Chapter responded to 91 local disasters, providing care, comfort, and hope to those affected; installed hundreds of free smoke alarms to make families safer; taught lifesaving skills like first aid, water safety skills, CPR and AED trainings to 11,807 residents; collected over 2,000 units of blood, and assisted 299 of members of the armed forces, veterans and their families.
