FRESNO, Calif. August 11, 2026 — The American Red Cross Central Valley Chapter is pleased to announce the election of four new members to its Board of Directors. Bringing extensive experience in philanthropy, community service and human resources, these leaders will help guide the chapter's mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.

The newly elected board members are:

• Mary Bastos, Community Leader
• Lennayasia Greenberry, Student at Central East High School
• Sehrish Hirani, Student at Redwood High School
• Amir Khajavi, Business Performance Advisor at Insperity

The following officers will lead the Central Valley Chapter Board of Directors during the 2026–2027 fiscal year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027):

• Chair: Jordan Scott – Public Relations Representative at Kaiser Permanente Northern California
• Vice Chair: Marc’ Brady – Chief Impact and Initiatives Officer at Fresno Housing

"We are excited to welcome our Chapter Board of Directors and the talent and dedication they bring to the Red Cross," says Lori Wilson, CEO of the American Red Cross Central Valley Chapter. "Their leadership will help strengthen our mission delivery, expand community engagement and ensure we are prepared to serve people in times of need."

During the past fiscal year, 969 Red Cross volunteers and board members in the Central Valley Chapter contributed 9,869 hours to the mission and responded to 196 local disasters, providing care, comfort and hope to people affected by home fires and other emergencies. The chapter also delivered first aid, CPR, AED, water safety and caregiving training to more than 17,457 residents and opened 959 cases to support members of the military, veterans and their families.
