SAN JOSE, Calif. August 11, 2026 — The American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter is pleased to announce the election of two new members to its Board of Directors. Bringing extensive experience in technology and healthcare services, these community leaders will help guide the chapter's mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.

The newly elected board members are:

• Annie Cheng, Vice President of Engineering
• Sabrina Melton, Tech & Systems Professional

The following officers will lead the Silicon Valley Chapter Board of Directors during the 2026–2027 fiscal year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027):

• Chair & Philanthropy Committee Lead: Neel Mehta, Partner at G2 Venture Partners
• Biomedical Services Committee Lead: Rux Muys-Stoian, Community Leader
• Board Development & Engagement Committee Lead: Chris Carlton, Retired Tech Industry Executive
• Community Mobilization Committee Co-Leads: Mark Ebner, Operations Director & Jonas Mari, Data, AI, and Analytics Advisor

"Each member brings unique experience, generous leadership and a shared commitment to serving our community. Together, we’ll strengthen our mission delivery and be there for our neighbors across Santa Clara County when they need us most."

During the past fiscal year, 1,134 Red Cross volunteers and board members in the Silicon Valley Chapter contributed 97,731 hours to the mission and responded to 134 local disasters, providing care, comfort and hope to people affected by home fires and other emergencies. The chapter also collected 24,618 units of lifesaving blood, delivered first aid, CPR, AED, water safety and caregiving training to more than 21,125 residents, and opened 299 cases to support members of the military, veterans and their families.
