Class Format - Blended ID: 04065095 Trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Blended Learning, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers, Administering Emergency Oxygen and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. Note: To teach Waterfront Skills, Lifeguarding instructors must possess a basic-level Waterfront Skills certificate Prerequisites: • Minimum age: 17 years • Possess either: o Current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED o Current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or CPR/AED for Lifeguards o An equivalent certificate from another organization • Complete the Online Session for the Lifeguarding Instructor course, which includes: o Orientation to the American Red Cross o Orientation to the Lifeguarding Instructor course and precourse exam • Complete the Precourse Session
