New Curriculum Delivers a Better Solution

The American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite™ for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) delivers flexibility with the latest science. Our courses are designed to save lives while streamlining the education experience.

Reduce time to competence with our flexible course options.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, our BLS, ALS, and PALS courses feature flexible options to reduce course time and achieve certification faster.

    • Adaptive learning enables experienced healthcare professionals the option to test out of content by demonstrating competency.
    • Instructor-led courses are shorter due to more efficient course design and personalized learning.
    • Review Option (brief skills review before testing) and Challenge Option (test-only) for experienced providers.

    Easy instructor bridging.

Instructor and instructor trainer bridging is a simple process:

    • Instructors: Free, online bridge for all qualified candidates
    • Instructor Trainers: Free, online bridge for American Heart Association Training Center Faculty and ASHI Instructor Trainers

    • How does the science behind these courses compare to other providers?

The American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite curriculum is based on the same International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) science and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) guidelines, including information from the continuous science evaluation process. These programs also include science from other national leaders, such as the Surviving Sepsis campaign, the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics. In fact, the Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council, which oversees the development of the Red Cross curriculum, seats several current ILCOR Task Force members and one ILCOR Task Force chairperson.

    • Who should take these classes?

All healthcare, EMS, fire, police and other public safety providers who may be involved in resuscitation. These programs (BLS, ALS and PALS courses) will meet certification, competency and privileging requirements.

    • Are the courses ADA compliant?

Yes. The Red Cross Resuscitation Suite online BLS, ALS and PALS courses are fully ADA compliant, making it the most inclusive resuscitation curriculum in the nation.

    • How do Red Cross education costs compare to other resuscitation education options?

The American Red Cross Resuscitation Suite can reduce both your education costs significantly, as well as required instruction time. The new Red Cross online customized learning paths allows participants to save up to 50% of instruction time by using pre-assessments to test out of sections by demonstrating competency.
