Raging wildfires are burning in California, New Mexico and Arizona, forcing people from their homes. The American Red Cross has shelters open and is monitoring the situation with local and state officials.
In California, fires are burning in Los Angeles County, San Diego County and Santa Barbara County, destroying thousands of acres and forcing people to leave their homes. In New Mexico, a huge fire is burning near Tajique and evacuations are continuing. And in Navajo County, Arizona, yet another fire has burned thousands of acres and evacuation notices are out for numerous communities. The Red Cross has shelters open in all three states to help those affected.
