Longtime partner renews commitment during its Global Month of Purpose, supporting donors who help strengthen the nation’s blood supply

WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 27, 2026 — The American Red Cross today announced that Herbalife has renewed its support for the Red Cross Blood Saves Lives program with a $1 million in-kind commitment to provide protein bars and bites for blood donors, reinforcing the company’s longstanding dedication to helping patients in need and supporting communities across the country.

“At Herbalife, we believe stronger communities are built when we show up for one another in meaningful ways,” said Troy Hicks, chief operating officer at Herbalife. “Our longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross reflects our shared commitment to supporting people when they need it most. By renewing our $1 million commitment to the Blood Saves Lives program, we’re helping care for the donors whose generosity makes lifesaving blood available to patients in need. We’re proud to continue empowering the people and communities at the heart of the Red Cross’s mission.”

Blood donations are essential for patients undergoing cancer treatments, accident victims, individuals living with sickle cell disease and others who rely on lifesaving transfusions every day. Herbalife’s contribution supports Red Cross efforts to care for the donors who make those transfusions possible.

For 30 years, Herbalife has supported Red Cross disaster relief and blood collection efforts through financial contributions, volunteer engagement, in-kind donations and employee blood drives. Over the last 10 years, the company has donated nutrition bars to Red Cross blood donation centers in the United States and hosted more than 100 blood drives since 2004.

The announcement coincides with Herbalife’s Global Month of Purpose in October, a company-wide initiative that encourages employees to give back through service and generosity. Throughout the month, employees volunteer their time and donate resources to support health and wellness initiatives that strengthen the communities where they live and work.

“Herbalife has been an extraordinary partner to the Red Cross for many years, standing beside us when families face disasters and helping ensure patients have access to lifesaving blood,” said Cliff Holtz, president and CEO of the American Red Cross. “We are deeply grateful for Herbalife’s continued compassion and generosity, along with its renewed commitment to our Blood Saves Lives program."
