Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Red Cross is able to provide additional financial assistance to individuals and households impacted by the December 2021 Tornadoes who are continuing to experience significant roadblocks to their recovery.
At this time, we are collecting information from households who believe they are eligible and who are interested in receiving assistance. This information will help us prioritize outreach to households who are continuing to experience the most need.
To be eligible, individuals and households must meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicant’s pre-disaster primary residence is in a confirmed disaster-impacted geographic area;
- Applicant is the head of household and is not listed as a household member on any other Expanded Recovery Assistance application;
- Applicant’s primary residence was damaged, or applicant is currently displaced due to the disaster;
- Applicant’s total annual income is at or below 135% of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines, based on household size;
- Applicant is in need of financial assistance for confirmed and current unmet recovery needs resulting from the disaster; and
- Primary applicant’s identity and proof of residence details are confirmed.
Please note that submitting a form does not guarantee assistance – we are only able to serve a limited number of households. Households who submit a form may be contacted by the American Red Cross to complete an application which will be reviewed for eligibility – households who meet eligibility criteria and are approved will receive a set assistance amount to support their ongoing recovery needs.
