The American Red Cross is here to help people experiencing roadblocks to recovery after the recent tornadoes in Wisconsin. In addition to meeting the community’s basic needs of food and shelter, financial assistance is available to those who have qualifying damage.

Registration for this financial assistance opportunity will be open through the end of day on August 19, 2026.

The Red Cross is currently sending invitations to qualified homes through text messages, email, or phone calls. It will take time for us to reach everyone, but we will move as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience as we work through this effort.

If you have received an invitation to apply for financial assistance, please call 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) to speak to an agent about completing your enrollment.

If you believe you have qualifying damage and have not yet heard from the Red Cross, please complete and submit this form.

To be eligible for Red Cross damage-based financial assistance, households must apply for the program and meet the following three requirements:

Pre-disaster primary residence (renter or homeowner) in a confirmed disaster-impacted geographic area.
Head of household provides proof of identity and residence.
Primary residence was destroyed or suffered significant structural damage that requires extensive repairs.

Qualifying Damage Required for Eligibility

Examples of homes with QUALIFYING DAMAGE due to the extent of the damage they suffered.

Homes with damage so significant that they are permanently or temporarily uninhabitable are eligible for assistance from this program. The residents will have to move away permanently or for an extended amount of time while their home is rebuilt.

A home that can be lived in while repairs are made is not eligible for financial assistance from this program.

Para ser elegibles para la asistencia financiera de la Cruz Roja basada en daños, los hogares deben solicitar el programa y cumplir con los siguientes tres requisitos:
