Juan Andrade serves as the president and chief executive officer of USAA and serves on USAA’s Board of Directors and is a member of USAA’s Federal Savings Bank Board of Directors. Before joining USAA, Juan was the president and chief executive officer of Everest Group, Ltd., and held senior executive positions at Chubb, The Hartford and Progressive. Beyond the private sector, Juan held key roles in the U.S. federal government’s Executive Branch, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. In recognition for his work to counter international drug trafficking, he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service.

Juan serves as a member of the Geneva Association, the only international association of insurance companies and a leading think tank for the industry. He serves on the executive committee and the board of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, and a member of Business Roundtable and The Business Council. In 2023 and 2025, he was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as one of the World’s Most Influential Decision Makers.
