Lorence H. Kim, M.D. is the chief financial officer of Commonwealth Fusion Systems. He was the co-founder and managing partner at Ascenta Capital Management LLC and previously served as a venture partner at Third Rock Ventures.  He also served as CFO of Moderna where he raised capital to support platform efforts in messenger RNA medicines. Prior to Moderna, Dr. Kim was managing director and co-head of the U.S. biotechnology investment banking effort at Goldman Sachs.
