Why We Give to the Red Cross
At Anheuser-Busch, our purpose is to create a future with more cheers. Since 1906, we’ve partnered with the American Red Cross because we share a commitment to helping communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. Supporting our neighbors in times of need is part of who we are, and we're proud to work alongside an organization that provides critical assistance when it matters most.
Today, as a member of the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, we've contributed $1 million annually since 2016, through the Anheuser-Busch Foundation, to help ensure the Red Cross can respond quickly and effectively when disasters strike. Together, we're helping communities access the resources, support and preparedness tools they need before, during and after emergencies.
That same commitment drives our emergency drinking water program. We can't predict when or where disasters will occur, but we can prepare. At our breweries in Cartersville, Georgia, and Fort Collins, Colorado, we periodically pause beer production to can clean, safe emergency drinking water. Then, throughout the year, we work alongside our network of independent wholesalers and the American Red Cross to help deliver clean drinking water to communities across the country.
We recently surpassed 100 million cans of emergency drinking water donated since 1988, an important milestone in a partnership that has helped strengthen disaster relief and preparedness efforts for generations. While we're proud of that achievement, what matters most is ensuring communities have access to essential resources when they need them most.
We're honored to support the American Red Cross and grateful for a partnership that continues to make a meaningful difference in communities across the country.
