Tributes

• On the online donation form check the box “Dedicate this gift to a friend or loved one”
• Once your donation is submitted, you will see a prompt on the confirmation screen to start the card selection process. You will also receive instructions to the email address you provided during your donation.
• In the card selection process, you can either send an E-Card or Mail a Card
• You will then choose your card design, and add a personal message if desired, and you can decide whether to keep your donation amount anonymous.
• For E-cards you can select a send date – this can be up to 60 days after your donation, and you can add up to 5 recipients to receive the same e-card.
• For Mailed cards it will take approximately 5-7 business days for your card to send and you can add up to 5 recipients of the same card. *recipient(s) mailing address must be in the United States  

If you are planning on donating via check and would like to send a card, include the name of the honoree and the details of where the tribute card should be sent.  

Call Red Cross Donor Care at 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) and select option 2. Inform the agent that you would like to make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one.  

There are endless opportunities for starting a Tribute Fundraiser. Create a fundraiser to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or other special occasion; or create a page in memoriam to someone who has passed and celebrate their life by encouraging a gift to the Red Cross.  

Begin by creating your fundraiser. Then, personalize your page with a title, photos and/or share your Red Cross story. Let people know why you’re fundraising for the Red Cross. Activate your network by sharing your fundraiser with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors and asking them to support your fundraising efforts with a financial donation.

There are several ways you can share your fundraiser. Send your fundraising page link directly to your network. Write a personalized email to your supporters. Utilize social media to spread the word about your fundraiser. Remember to follow up with your supporters and send updates to remind them of your fundraising efforts and of course be sure to personally thank your supporters for their contributions.
