We are excited to announce the 2025 International Humanitarian Law Youth Action Campaign Pin Contest will be starting soon!
This is your chance to showcase your creativity and passion for the Youth Action Campaign and become the official pin design for the next IHL YAC Campaign cycle!
The winning design will be made into the official IHL YAC Campaign pin, which will be produced and distributed to Red Cross YAC volunteers across the globe!
The competition is open to anyone—entrants do not need to be current American Red Cross volunteers or participants in the IHL Youth Action Campaign. Entrants may also submit multiple designs.

Finley Endres, our 2024 IHL Youth Action Campaign pin design competition winner, found inspiration in the story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl from Japan who contracted leukemia as a result of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. While in the hospital, one of her roommates told her about an ancient Japanese belief that if anyone folds 1,000 folding cranes, you would be granted a wish.
Reflecting on this, Finley shared, “Despite being sick, Sadako still had hope. I based my pin on her story so we may find hope in her story for a better future free of nuclear war.”
