WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 17, 2021) - The American Red Cross South Florida Region names Siara Campbell as its new Regional Communications Director.
In this role, Campbell will be responsible for all internal and external communications, media relations, social media, and disaster public affairs for the region, which serves nearly 8 million people across 13 counties.
“I am truly honored to lead our Communications team here in South Florida and work alongside the most committed and dedicated staff and volunteers that choose to serve the Red Cross mission,” said Siara Campbell. “It is a privilege to continue serving our local communities.”
Since early 2020, Campbell has been serving as the Development Communications Manager for the South Florida Region of the American Red Cross. However, her involvement with the Red Cross began much earlier as a teen when she was trained using Red Cross training and certifications as a lifeguard and taught swimming and water safety classes in her hometown in Missouri.
Most recently, Campbell led the event, marketing, and communications efforts at Macy’s where she developed marketing and communications strategies and executed nationwide events including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Prior to her time spent with Macy’s, she was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla. where she gained extensive experience in public relations, project management, sales, and marketing.
Campbell has a history of commitment to community service. Throughout her years, she has been an active volunteer with both Florida and Missouri community organizations such as Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center, The Cat Network, Clean Miami Beach, Meals on Wheels, along with numerous humane societies.
As a Missouri native, Siara received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Sport Management and currently resides in Miami, Fla.
