
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (July 14, 2021) – The Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross named Frederica “Freddi” Foley Hennessy as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Her tenure officially began on July 1.
Hennessy has a strong Human Resources background with experience specializing in compensation, employee relations, benefits, talent acquisition, training, and development. She has worked in numerous capacities in Human Resources for a variety of companies including the Healthcare industry, professional employer organizations, non-profit institutions, and has held several Human Resources consulting roles. Hennessy most recently retired as Human Resources Manager from Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.
The chapter has also named Dr. Moises Issa as its Vice Chair, and Devyn Ramnarain as its Secretary.
Additionally, the chapter announced that Debbie Banks-Snyder, Kay Yoder, and Kelsi Root joined its Board of Directors.
For over a decade, Debbie Banks-Snyder has been a volunteer, contributor and supporter of the Red Cross and is a member of the Red Cross Tiffany Circle. She attended Pine Crest School and St. Thomas Acquinas and then went on to graduate from the University of Florida in 1988 earning a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a major in Psychology. She currently serves as the Owner/Vice President of Lago Mar.
Kay Yoder, the Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Business Continuity at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is recognized as a driven leader combing her collaborative style and strong leadership skills with an engineering background. Yoder graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and an associate’s degree in nuclear medicine technology from Butler University.
Kelsi Root joins the board of directors as a medical marketer in her current role as Director of Patient Care at South Beach Orthotics and Prosthetics. Root holds a bachelor’s degree from Pace University in business management.
