
SURFSIDE, Fla. (June 29, 2021) – The American Red Cross is and will continue to provide support to families affected by the building collapse at Champlain Towers in Surfside, Florida at the Family Assistance Center (FAC) alongside participating agencies.
Opening today, the Family Assistance Center is a safe space for people directly impacted by this tragedy to receive help for both immediate and short-term needs. This includes emotional support, getting something to eat and drink, connecting with community organizations offering aid, and hearing updates from authorities.
Specifically, the Red Cross will be providing counseling, spiritual care, disaster mental health, health care, and other personalized services.
