
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (August 4, 2022) – On Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, the Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross will recognize three exceptional humanitarian partners at its annual Dine & Dock Celebrity/CEO & Experience Auction. This year’s 2022 Humanitarian Award recipients are: Edward “Ted” Christie, President and CEO of Spirit Airlines Inc.; Megan Grimsley from the City of Hollywood Fire Rescue & Beach Safety; and The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation, Inc. These honorees embody the spirit of the Red Cross and have shown their dedication to the organization’s mission through their civic engagement and generous community support.
The 2022 Dine & Dock event will kick off with a Welcome Reception hosted by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., and Keiser University at 6:30 p.m. Additionally, an exclusive VIP reception will be hosted by Ryder Systems, Inc., where guests can mix and mingle with VIPs, celebrities, and CEOs.
This annual signature event is the single largest fundraising event for the Broward County Red Cross and will take place in the Ocean Ballroom featuring breathtaking views, delicious appetizers, and exciting networking opportunities. At 7:30 p.m., event chairs Cindy Imperato and Margaux Fiori will kick off the program by presenting the 2022 honorees with their prestigious Humanitarian Awards.

All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross, supporting their response to disasters ranging from home fires affecting a single family to hurricanes affecting tens of thousands. In response to these emergencies, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, comfort and more to assist families and entire communities in their time of need.
