
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (January 26, 2021) – The Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross announced that Frederica “Freddi” Foley Hennessy joined its Board of Directors.
Freddi has a strong Human Resources background with experience specializing in compensation, employee relations, benefits, talent acquisition, training, and development as well as unionized policies and procedures. She has worked in numerous capacities in Human Resources for a variety of companies including the healthcare industry, professional employer organizations, non-profit institutions, and has held several Human Resources consulting roles. Freddi has also acted as a Human Resources subject matter expert for private individuals.
With a degree in Economics/Psychology and a minor in English from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, Freddi most recently, retired as Human Resources Manager from Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.
“We are delighted to have Freddi join our board. Her volunteer leadership is exceptional and she’s an asset to the Red Cross mission,” said Paula Prendergast, executive director for the chapter. “Freddi began as a Community Volunteer Leader and her passion for the mission led her to join the board.”
Freddi has been involved with a variety of professional organizations. She has been a Guardian ad Litem for Broward County, a member of Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels as well as the National Society for Human Resource Management organization.
