
FORT MYERS, Fla. (June, 29 2020) – The Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross has named Jennifer Trammell as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Her tenure officially begins on July 1.
“Jennifer is passionate about serving the community and advancing the next generation. She understands the mission of the Red Cross and the vital role we play in our community.” said Jill Palmer, executive director of the Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter. “With her commitment to community, leadership and civic engagement, Jennifer will be an outstanding chair in the year ahead.”
Trammell leads the NextGen Speaker Series, presented by Benson Blackburn, as the program’s Managing Director. The NextGen Speaker Series brings together business and community professionals to encourage Leadership, Mentorship, Empowerment and Philanthropy as they hear inspirational stories of achievement from world-renowned entrepreneurs and business leaders—often Fortune 500 CEOs.
Trammell, a former news anchor and reporter, is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and continues to work closely with the local alumni club. As a multimedia journalist, her work has been recognized by The Associated Press and The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Prior to her role with NextGen, Trammell worked closely with the sales and marketing teams at NewsBank, Inc.
She is a graduate of Associate Leadership Collier and remains involved with the Leadership Collier Foundation as a member of the advisory board and previously served as Chair of the marketing committee. In 2017, she was named Young Professional of the Year by the Greater Naples Chamber, recognizing her tremendous commitment to the community, impact, and emerging leadership.
